Repairs can be done at a dealership or any ASE-certified repair shop in the U.S. The contract is transferable to the next owner, which can help resale value. A small per-repair deductible may apply. Items such as glass, tires, wheels, paint, exhaust, brake pads and routine maintenance are not covered.

Included benefits

Hudson Valley roads are hard on tires and wheels. This plan repairs or replaces tires and wheels damaged by road hazards, something a manufacturer's warranty typically does not cover.

Options vary by dealership and state. Tire and wheel coverage does not include damage from accidents, curbs (unless you add alloy wheel repair), theft or vandalism.

Good to know

Every part is eligible except those specifically excluded, such as alignment, bumpers, glass, catalytic converters, exhaust, frame, paint, rust, sheet metal, tires and wheels, routine maintenance and non-factory parts. 12-volt and high-voltage EV/hybrid batteries are not excluded.

Included benefits

Modern key fobs are expensive to replace and program. This plan covers the cost of replacing a lost or damaged key fob.

How a claim works

1. If you are within 50 miles, return to the Ruge's dealership where you bought your vehicle.
2. If you can't get to the dealership, call the claims number in your plan documents.
3. Get a paid invoice from the service provider.
4. Mail the paid invoice and a copy of your plan registration page within 30 days for reimbursement.

How a repair works

1. Bring your vehicle back to the Ruge's dealership where you bought it.
2. Authorize diagnosis. You pay for any repairs that are not covered.
3. The dealership gets repair authorization from the plan provider.
4. In an emergency, call the provider for authorization the next business day.
